Sailor Venus - Love Chain

This is my crowning achievement.....at the moment.....lol....

After a month of working on this I'm finally done!! Yay!!!!

I drew and inked this on the 28th of November while watching the Late Show. I then scanned it the next day and started CGing it. I CGed Venus first, and that all went well. Then came the bg, that's where problems surfaced. I went thru a zillion bgs before coming up with the red and black rendered clouds (which were actually blue and orange at first, but I played around with the levels tool and such to get it black and red...by accident at first actually...lol). Then I wanted the border to be centered on the canvas, so I had to go thru some painstaking stuff to do that...not to mention the change of color, adding of texture, and so on. Oh, but the bg was nothing compared to the love chain. That fricken chain just about killed me. I kept drawing it and redrawing it and redrawing and redrawing and ARGH!!! But finally I got it to look right, so yay! Then came the spots in the corner, redoing my signature (putting the finishing date in), her name, and the resizing for the web. And now I am finally done.

I am very happy with the result. I loved the lineart and I gave it a worthy CG job...I never crapped out on it like I do with so many other pics, I kept to my orginal vision. This is top o' the line MRC shtuff! And yes I realize there are problems, like her boots for instance. The only time she has boots is in her Sailor Stars fuku, and she's drawn in her regular fuku. It was something I sensed while drawing it, thinking that the boots didn't look right for some reason, but it wasn't until I got to the coloring stage that I realized the error. So, don't complain about it or so help me God...

But...yush...all of my tedious work and the many hours put into this were worth it...riiiight? Well, I think they were.....Please leave a comment on this piccy, you have no idea how much I'd appreciate that.

Oh, and yes. She was drawn in my style. My sole purpose of this pic was to draw a funky-floaty pose, and SM characters seem to work really well for that sorta thing...lol!!!
